Practice Owner, Veterinarian

My name is Dr. Janice Mallory. Since my graduation from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1977, I have been in private small animal practice. Having grown up on a farm, I have never been without a dog or cat in my life and often several at one time. I love being a veterinarian and feel honored to be entrusted with the health and well being of your pets. I consider myself lucky to have the best staff of animal lovers to assist me.

Nicholas Mallory, D.V.M

Practice Owner, Veterinarian

Hello, my name is Dr. Nicholas Mallory and I am an associate veterinarian at Rensselaer Pet Care. I received my Bachelor of Science and my Bachelor of Arts from St. Joseph College. I went on to study veterinary medicine at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. My wife and I have two cats, Cheddar and Bowie, and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Benedict Harold. When we are not spending time with family and friends, we love to travel and try local food and breweries. I have a passion for radiology, cardiology, and surgery. Being part of a family that loves animals has given me a desire to always be the voice for those who cannot speak. I am very fortunate to be a member of this wonderful team at Rensselaer Pet Care.

Nikole

Nikole

Nurse

Hi, I’m Nikole. I have grown up my whole life with a deep love for animals. Growing up I always knew I wanted to work with them. As a little girl, I wanted to become a veterinarian. I graduated from Vet Tech school in 2023, did my externship at the clinic, and officially joined the RPC family shortly after. I am one of the few cat people at Rensselaer Pet Care, but I love caring for all of your fur babies. When I am not at Pet Care, I am spending my time outside doing activities, usually with my many animals.
TK

TK

Receptionist

Although I’ve been teaching seventh-grade language arts at Kankakee Valley Middle School for well over thirty years, Dr. Mallory offered me the opportunity to work at Rensselaer Pet Care in April of 2010. I work on Saturday mornings. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Rensselaer Pet Care staff and look forward to meeting and assisting our clients. I have been working at Rensselaer Pet Care for 9 years. I have a cat named Holly. She was a stray someone had brought to us, and after she had kittens, I took her home.

Hi, my name is Jill. I have worked at Rensselaer Pet Care for 8 years. I have two adult children, one grandson, and four cats. I love the clients, they are so nice, and I enjoy taking care of all their wonderful pets!

My family and I have 2 dogs, 3 horses, many rabbits, and several barn cats. We also have one goat named Bellah. It’s fun interacting with all of the pets and getting to know so many different clients!

Hello! My name is Stephanie. I am the wife of a loving husband, and have three beautiful children. I grew up on a farm and have always enjoyed working with animals. I have had the privilege of working at Rensselaer Pet Care since 2008. I love having the opportunity to provide loving quality care for your 4-legged family members!
Vicki

Vicki

Veterinary Assistant

My name is Vicki. I started my love for animal care as a child at home. This included not only our house pets, but my chickens and ducks outside too. I was in 4-H for ten years where I continued to expand my animal knowledge. My veterinary science and poultry/waterfowl projects are what I enjoyed the most. As I moved into the working world, I worked at Jasper County Animal Shelter for four years where I was able to learn more about animal behaviors and basic medicine practices. After leaving the shelter I worked at a couple veterinary clinics, learning more about standards of care to make myself the best veterinary assistant I could be.

When I’m not working I enjoy hunting, fishing and getting out on the boat with my husband and son. During the winter I enjoy baking for family and friends. I also love Halloween time, and trying new coffee spots and cafes. I have two German Shorthaired Pointer dogs, a cat, a snake, various fish, chickens, ducks, and geese at home.

Lexi

Lexi

Veterinary Assistant

Hi, I’m Lexi. I have worked here at RPC for four years as a dedicated Veterinary Assistant with a passion for animal care and wellness. My goal is to make every visit as stress-free as possible for pets and their families with compassion and empathy. I have always had a profession where I have cared for others. Even as a child I had a love for animals and constantly begged my parents for more. I have four dogs of my own now, Golden Retrievers being my favorite breed, and a few cats- all rescued as strays from RPC. Exotic animals have a special place in my heart, including rabbits, Guinea pigs, and fish.

Outside of work, I’m a mother first to a wonderful little boy who keeps me inspired, grounded, and full of purpose. Being a mom has taught me patience, empathy, and multitasking-all skills I bring with me into the clinic every day. After hours, you can find me enjoying a peaceful afternoon with a novel, experimenting with composition behind the lens, or tending to my budding plant collection. I find joy in caring-for animals, for my family, and for my well being. I’m dedicated to making a positive difference in every life I touch, four-legged or two.

Sarah

Sarah

Hospital Administrator

You have seen me here and there at RPC for around ten years, wearing many hats (and hair colors!). I have a Bachelor of Science from St. Joseph’s College, and every day is still a great day to be a Puma! I began my journey as a receptionist part time while teaching. I grew up on a farm and have cared for many animals, and this definitely inspired my career change. I became a full-time employee, trained as a kennel attendant and eventually assistant. Life had me moving around the state throughout the years, but I remained in the veterinary profession and returned to RPC full force, taking on more responsibilities as we have grown. I have two cats, Luci and Raz, and continue to help on the family farm with lots and lots of chickens.
